How much do campaign yard signs cost in Houston?
Campaign yard signs typically cost $2 to $10 each when you order 100 or more, and about $12 to $15 each for small orders. Price per sign drops as quantity goes up, so ordering 500 at once usually costs much less per sign than ordering 100 five times. Printing on both sides and adding wire H-stakes adds to the price.
What size are standard campaign yard signs?
The standard campaign yard sign is 18 by 24 inches, printed on 4mm corrugated plastic (coroplast) and mounted on a wire H-stake. It's large enough to read from a passing car, light enough for volunteers to carry, and holds up to Houston rain.
How fast can I get campaign yard signs printed in Houston?
Most yard sign orders are printed in a few business days once the design is approved. The busiest weeks before early voting can take longer. The fastest way to get signs on time is to have your design final and approved and to order before early voting starts. Ask about rush turnaround and pickup when you request a quote.
What does Texas law require on a political yard sign?
Texas law requires political signs to show that they are political advertising and who paid for them, and signs meant to be seen from a road must carry the highway right-of-way notice. That notice reads: "NOTICE: IT IS A VIOLATION OF STATE LAW (CHAPTERS 392 AND 393, TRANSPORTATION CODE), TO PLACE THIS SIGN IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF A HIGHWAY." The printer is also responsible for including it. See Texas Election Code 259.001 and the Texas Ethics Commission for the full disclosure rules.
Where can I put campaign signs in Houston?
Put campaign signs on private property with the owner's permission. They can't go in the public right-of-way, on utility poles or on traffic signs. Signs placed in the right-of-way can be removed without notice. Homeowners associations may also set their own limits on size and timing.
